We have presented the initial findings of “Rapid Needs Assessment of Homeless Population in Ulaanbaatar,” funded by the Asian Development Band, to relevant government and nongovernment actors to validate the findings and discuss solutions in response to the needs identified by assessment.
Total of 605 homeless people participated in our research, of which 405 were homeless people staying in shelters and rough sleeping, and 200 were homeless households living in a place not intended for habitation, such as in apartment basements, entrance areas and stairs. Moreover, we collected data from government and nongovernment key informants working in this field and families of the homeless people. Final report will be available in September, 2022.
